As you ran to the mailbox, you begged that it wasn't true. That what they told you was one big lie, that he will still return to you like he promised. You pulled it open and reached for the mail as your heart pounded. You slowly opened the letter and started to sob as you read it.
"Ms. (Last Name),
It is my painful duty to inform you that Arthur has killed in action. We laid him to rest and a cross now marks his place. If any articles of private property are left by the deceased they will be sent to you. Some of them have been found and are placed in this letter."
Your tears left your face and dropped down on the letter. As you looked in the envelope you saw many smaller envelopes. Each one had a date, some were written just a week ago and others were written many months ago. You walked back inside and began to read them. The first few were about the people in his squad. There was an American who was the most annoying person and a Frenchman who was the biggest frog in the world. You laughed and cried as you read them. Eventually, only two were left. One was from the American and the other was the last one Arthur wrote. You decided to read the American's first.
"Hey there (Name)!
You don't really know me but I sure know you! Arthur would always talk about you, everyone in the squad knew about you. It pains all of us that he had passed away and the funeral will be held approximately a month after you read this on (Enter Date Here). I know that the letter you got from the military said that he had already is buried but that isn't really true. Anyways, you are free to come, it is at (Town) Cemetery, and all of us will come."
When you finished his letter, you breathed a sigh of relief. The idea of not going to his funeral was making you feel as guilty as possible. You looked at the only remaining letter almost too afraid to touch it. But, A little something inside of you made you pick it up and read it.
"Dear (Name),
Our group is to be sent on a dangerous battle. They warned us ahead of time that most of us might not come back so I knew that I had to write this to you. (Name), I love you. I know that we have only been dating for about two years but I have an important question to ask you. (Name), will you marry me? You don't have to send a letter back, tell me your response when I get home. Don't worry, I will come back, promise."
At the bottom of the envelope was a small diamond ring. Your warm tears hit it as you slipped it on your finger.

HalfCat! Reader x England - My Bad? (Chapter One)
‘Nope.’ Click. ‘Nope.’ Click. ‘Boring.’ Click. ‘Oh! This looks go- ewww! Who puts that on TV?! Whatever…’ with that thought, you shut off the TV. There was nothing on as usual. ‘Maybe I could call Arthur…’ you glanced at the phone sitting next to you on the couch right as it started ringing. What a coincidence! You giggled as you grabbed the phone that just-so-happened to be playing ‘I’m a Little Teapot’. Okay, more like you set that as your friend’s ringtone. You hit the little green ‘answer’ button and held the phone up to your ea

~~*Flashback*~~ (You were a child here~)
You ran up to everyone of the nations in the meeting with those tears in your eyes, you tried to get one of their attentions, but no one would give you any, not even Canada, who should've been happy he was noticed, but he didn't, he motioned for you to leave with his hands while staring at America's blabbering about how there should be lots of heroes to help the matters. Heck, some people pushed you away causing you to fall back and hit your head on the ground. You thought if America was a hero, he'd be caring for you. You had more tears that threatened to spill. This has been going on for 3 years un

What Hurts the Most - England (part 2)
WARNING: FEELS WILL HAPPEN, AND CRYING MAY OCCUR
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED OF TEH FEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELZ
It had been a month since then. Nothing had changed. You were still a mess of yourself and your eyes were practically grey now. Memories kept flooding your mind at everything now, getting dressed, waking up in the morning, everything. You imagined him wrapping those warm arms around your waist, pulling you into his chest, but when you turned around.. nothing.. nobody was there. Though.. some things were different now. You were now a shell. Showing no emotion and shedding no tears, for you had shed as many tears as you could. They just ne
